Vision
Our aim is to strengthen society’s sustainability; economically, socially, and environmentally.
Mission
We contribute to a more sustainable society by producing and providing knowledge, which will improve our customers’ ability to:
- develop organisations and people
- strengthen social responsibility
- promote good stakeholder relations
- increase innovation and competitiveness
Develop organisations and people
Flexibility and knowledge are crucial factors in society of the future. The ability to attract and develop human resources determines the competitiveness of companies and organisations. In this, education is crucial. To succeed the organisations must provide the right framework and possibilities for their employees. We believe that an organisation or a company is more than just numbers of employees or specific products and services.
It is the sum of qualifications and skills of the employees. Consequently, we do not look at employees and organisations isolated, but as a whole. It is pointless attempting to develop employees without also developing the organisational framework – and vice versa.Every company is able to improve the quality of working conditions for its employees and at the same time improve its efficiency and financial results.
We define a good working place as one where employees trust management, are proud of their work, appreciate their colleagues and in turn feel appreciated themselves. This also means that there is not one right way of organizing or managing a company. We do not believe in readymade solutions, but in customfit solutions.
Strengthen social responsibility
The traditional social structures and welfare systems are changing. The change requires new guidance in how to solve future problems within the social area. Increasingly, industry, organisations and the service sector will be included to find solutions to social challenges.
We believe that establishing new interactive relations with the involvement of all relevant participants and stakeholders best solves the social challenges. We, therefore, work with concepts and analyses of how joint social responsibility can be transformed into specific actions of companies and participants.
Promote good stakeholder relations
The demands of managing a company are constantly changing. Previously, efficiency, low payroll costs and good bank connections were essential. These things are still necessary, but no longer sufficient to succeed.Toptuned factories, cheap labour and risk bearing capital does not automatically improve competition - it has become a requirement for competing altogether. It provides new possibilities, but it also places the companies in a totally new and iron competitive situation.
The sustainable companies will be the ones able to maintain the most loyal customers, attract the best and most innovative employees and become a part in the most efficient knowledge and production networks. These are the surviving companies.Basically, it is all about people, stakeholder relations and, so far, immeasurable immaterial values. Or about which companies are better than their competitors, once and for all, to win the confidence and respect of their owners, customers, employees, and other stakeholder groups, which may influence or are influenced by the company.
We believe that this balanced creativity will be the goal for bigger as well as smaller companies - irrespective of whether they are private, public or belong to the civil society.
Increase innovation and competitiveness
The development of a sustainable society depends mainly on the continuing ability to improve and develop competitive technologies, qualifications and products. Consequently, one of the main concerns of our company is to produce knowledge, which may illustrate, explain and stimulate the interaction between research, innovation, and competitiveness.
Companies, institutions, and public authorities all play a central role - and most important for the competitiveness, is the way in which they interact and support each other. The purpose of Oxford’s analyses and recommendations is to clarify how the different participants and stakeholders, individually or jointly, may contribute to increase innovation and competitiveness.
